Shaping a rich heritage

HNG Float Glass Ltd. was founded by C K Somany Group under the flagship of Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Ltd. (HNG), the largest producer of container glass in India having almost 70% market share. The HNGIL Group entered into the float glass segment in order to bring about a synergic diversification in their line of business. HNG Float Glass Ltd. was incorporated on 29th July 2006 with an investment of 125 Million USD. The construction started in January 2008 and the installation of the Float Glass plant was completed in a record time of 21 months. The ground breaking ceremony took place on January 30th 2008 and the furnace firing was done on November 30th 2009.After successfully producing quality float glass and catering to the countries domestic needs,in July 2011 HNG got into manufacturing Eco friendly Mirrors , Lacquered (Coloured) glass and Designer frosted glasses to add in its basket of products.

In June 2013 HNG Float Glass Ltd entered into a 50/50 joint venture with Sisecam Duzcam Group, Turkey. The JV was established to offer an entire range of architectural glasses, including high-performance glasses to help the construction sector provide a variety of solutions that are energy efficient, safe and provide for comfortable living and work environments. In 2014 HNG started seeding the domestic market with high end performance glasses from Sisecam.
